Productivity and Quality of Knowledge-based organizations
Most PhD students struggle with scientific writing and presentations in English, and normally much time in a PhD study is spent revising papers and preparing for conference talks. Given the amount of time that PhD students spend writing and preparing to present, students should invest in a systematic study of scientific writing. To lead such a study, we have invited Prof. Binshan Lin, Louisiana State University, USA, to give an intensive cource on Scientific Writing 23rd - 24th June, 2008. The course is aimed for PhD students, but will also be open for postdocs and younger faculty members. Similar course, held in Oulu, Finland in summer 2007, was very successful, and has already resulted in 3 papers to be published in the journals edited by Dr Binshan Lin.
